Franz Marc Two Cats - digital print mounted on frame

Two Cats, Yellow and Blue

Franz Marc painted Two Cats, Blue and Yellow in 1912, featuring a blue cat grooming and a yellow cat napping in a vivid, expressionist style. "Two Cats, Blue and Yellow" is part of a series of works that highlight Marc's fascination with animals. It was painted during a time when he was deeply involved with the artist group Der Blaue Reiter, which he co-founded. This group aimed to explore new artistic expressions and ideas.
